Achieved business growth despite global slowdown, developed new markets, set up new manufacturing plants in India and China, set up R&D facility, brought in advanced technology tie-ups and helped maintain superiority in key segments and in a very competitive environment. York India plant at Pune is the largest trailer axles plant in India and a market leader.

This is a JV company formed by Tata International and DLT of Sri Lanka. This project was conceptualized and set up by me while I was with Tata International. This was first of its kind in India, a modern facility for manufacturing trailers. As of 2022, this is the largest trailer manufacturer in India with four manufacturing facilities and is the market leader. This was one of the most successful strategic decisions taken when the trailer industry was very nascent in India.
